What do you do (for work)?
I am the CEO of Thebe Capital and currently serve on the following boards: Shell SA, Vodacom SA, Safripol, Altech Netstar, Combined Motor Holdings and Compass Group.

How do you unwind after a long hard day?
I usually relax over dinner with friends and family or simply enjoy a quiet evening at home reading a book.

What do you not do?
I don't do gossip nor do I hang out with small minded people.

What are you reading right now – tell us about it and what you’re enjoying / not enjoying about it.
I am reading Thrive by Arriana Huffington. I'm enjoying her perspective on what success is about.

What’s your favourite thing about/ in your home?
I love that I hand picked every piece of furniture and it reflects my signature style. I love decor and have enjoyed collecting pieces from my travels that personalize every room.

What has been your greatest achievement?
Being able to make a difference in other women's lives through mentoring and raising funds for leadership development.

What is the biggest struggle you have faced and how have you overcome it?
As a woman in business you are faced with many challenges. I overcome this by focusing on my purpose and being excellent in what I do on a daily basis. I am blessed that I was raised with love and confidence and have incredible discipline and a good work ethic.

Who is/are your favourite designer(s) – internationally and in Africa?
I love Oscar de le Renta’s clothes. He really had a great understanding of woman and was all about class and femininity. I like Louis Vuitton as well. In Africa I'm in love with David Tlale and KISUA.

What drew you to KISUA and what’s your favourite KISUA Item?
I love that the KISUA range is chic and unique and with a touch of different African cultures. I love all their clothes, I pretty much have the whole collection.

What is your definition of style?
Style is a statement of who I am to the world. I take my image seriously and clothes are an expression of my personality and my mood. I'm all about classy feminine tailored clothes.

Who are some of your “idols”? Who do you look up to?
I have immense respect for Oprah Winfrey - she has built an incredible business and brand and has used the platform to make a difference globally.
